Coat Curiosity
The coat collection is all made in polar fleece. The embellishments on these
coats are appliquéd (sewn on to the surface). I line all of my coat
designs in cotton, cotton flannel, or knit. The lining fabric is always complimentary
to the outside design. For example, I use a duck print as the lining fabric
for the Duck jacket. All of the coat designs have pockets to put your hands
or to stash small treasures! All of these designs are made with a little extra
sleeve length to allow for a cuff (which provides some growing room). These
jackets can be machine washed and dried.
Pillow Talk
Pillows are a new endeavor. The pillows pictured in the gallery are all unique
designs and are meant to demonstrate possibilities. Perhaps you have a specific
fabric or color you want to use. Perhaps you have your own idea for a pillow,
or you have seen an idea for a pillow that you want to modify in some way
to meet your decorating needs. I welcome custom requests!
I use an eclectic assortment of fabrics, upholstery fabrics, synthetics, cottons,
etc. The fabric choices that I make are driven by the design of the pillow.
What makes my pillows extra-ordinary? The fringe is hand made to compliment
the pillow! The fibers that I choose for fringe is again, very eclectic, ribbon,
highly textured yarns (acrylics and wools), metallic fibers, strips of fabric...whatever,
lends itself to the overall design. Some of these designs are multi-dimensional
as well. The rose pillows, for example, have a wired surface piece giving
the effect that the flowers are BURSTING out of the center of the pillow.
What I would like people to consider is that these pillows are a very special
addition to their decorating scheme, a piece of unique art. Equally important
as the art they have chosen to hang on the walls.
It has always been my plan to have a line of home accessories. I hope to expand
this collection to include more home accents; lampshades, table runners, wall
